We are looking for a creative professional who loves sport (ideally cycling) who can manage our client relationships and help us plan and implement sponsorship strategies.
We love events and are passionate about cycling. We are looking for someone to join our team as we roll out a plan to expand our events internationally.
We need you to be ambitious with at least two years’ experience in a sales or account management role and prepared to potentially lead a department (if you succeed).
We want you to be brilliant, creative and ambitious – ready to talk to anyone, inspire the wider team and understand how to engage clients and sponsors in what we do.
FACE Partnership
FACE Partnership is a specialist cycling agency that creates events and experiences – both as rights holders (Revolution Series, London Nocturne, and Parkour Ride) and for corporate clients. Existing and previous clients include Sky, Team Sky, Jaguar, IG, DHL and the City of London. FACE is also a preferred partner to deliver corporate events at the Lee Valley VeloPark (Olympic Velodrome).
Since launching in 2003 FACE Partnership has become the leading cycling agency in the UK, admired for running high-quality events using a creative approach. We have successfully grown leading elite cycling events like the Revolution Series and the London Nocturne as well as our extreme cycling concept Parkour Ride.
Developing our portfolio of proprietary cycling events and concepts is a key part of our strategy which will reinforce our reputation as global leaders in cycling.
The cycling market is growing rapidly in the UK and globally, and FACE Partnership is growing as our events become more commercially successful. To assist this growth and to take advantage of the market conditions and interest in cycling, we are seeking to appoint an Account Manager with sales experience to join our team.
Roles and responsibilities will include:
• Account Management – management of several key partners maintaining client relations and ensuring partner rights and activation are successfully executed at events with a focus on maximising ROI.
• Hospitality Management – Responsible for the design and management of hospitality experiences at each of our events and liaison with hospitality guests and other VIPs.
• Corporate Track Days – Working with the events team to successfully design and deliver track days at the Lee Valley VeloPark – focus on client liaison and managing the client experience at the event.
• Sales – the role will have some sales focus primarily managing inbound sales enquires and developing commercial leads for hospitality, track day and low level sponsorship sales.
• Sponsorship Strategy – Working with the CEO to develop sponsorship strategies and manage sponsorship agencies.
• Research and Analysis – Research to help develop market insights in sponsorship and build prospect list for hospitality and track day sales as well as managing customer feedback from our events.
• Creative Thinking – Proactively contributing ideas and creative solutions to improve our events with particular focus on enhancing the customer experience.
Essential Requirements
• A minimum of 2 years account management, sales of event experience, preferably in sport. This can be agency or client side.
• Ability to liaise with and manage relationships with multiple stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong presentation skills.
• Confidence to pick up the phone to proactively speak to potential new clients or sponsors.
• Ability to keep records and track relationships and deliverables for clients and partners.
• Ability to work in a constantly evolving environment and collaborate with the wider team to make key decisions on projects.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of an event team, where relationship building is key.
• Willingness to build a network of contacts and sponsorship database, with aspirations to secure long term business from both existing and new clients.
• Excellent time management skills to manage complex work streams across multiple events.
• Flexible working hours are a must, with occasional evening and weekend work, as well as international travel.
Desirable Skills/Experience/ Knowledge
• An interest in cycling as a sport or leisure activity and sport in general.
• Flexibility and a willingness to get stuck in with event teams on all aspects of event delivery.
• A willingness to take on challenges as part of a hard-working and ambitious team.
• Knowledge of the sports media and cycling sporting landscape.
• Full UK driving licence.
