Finance Manager – North Yorkshire Sport

Job Description
North Yorkshire Sport is a charity that exists to use the power of sport and physical activity to drive positive change in people’s lives. We are a company limited by guarantee with charitable status and require an experienced and personable Finance Manager to oversee the organisations finances. We have an annual turnover of around £1million with a team of 15 FTE staff based in the town of Harrogate.

The role will involve the preparation of management accounts for trustees and members of staff as well as complying with our legal obligations to the charities commission. On a day to day basis you will be overseeing the various requirements of our funders and investors as well as using financial measures to assess our performance and plan for the future. The organisation has established financial controls policies and existing financial systems following our launch as a charity in April 2014.

You will have experience of working in the charitable sector as well as managing accounts (preferably through Quickbooks) and satisfying grant funders financial conditions. Experience of managing European Social Funding is also desirable.
