Role:
As part of the Finance Team and reporting to the Commercial Finance Manager, this varied role will be responsible for providing support in budgeting, planning and forecasting to the whole organisation but with a particular focus on the Programme Operations Team. The candidate, will also be required to carry out detailed analytical work and financial modelling using their own initiative.
We are seeking a high calibre part qualified accountant with at least 2 years accounting experience in management accounting for financial analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
Providing face to face support to departmental budget holders and enabling them to understand financial matters;
Reviewing monthly performance vs. budget, analysing variances and providing insightful and meaningful analysis to budget holders;
Using monthly performance data to produce projections for presentation to senior management;
Supporting and challenging departments on financial plans and performance;
Supporting the development of the new financial reporting and budgeting system;
Assisting in annual budget setting process and monthly forecasting; and
Developing management reports and metrics to help in the evaluation of various departments and zones.
Person Specification:
We are looking for an exceptional individual with the following qualities:
Essential:
You should be at least AAT qualified or similar seeking to further your career within Finance;
You should have management accounting experience and be able to interpret and comment on management account & a budget statement;
You should have excellent communication and presentation skills, be able to communicate complex financial matters to non-finance managers;
You should be able to develop constructive working relationships with department and budget holders in a manner they understand;
You should have strong Excel skills and are comfortable with using Vlookup, PivotTable and other formulae to manipulate data and generate reports; and
You are a proactive person with can do attitude and desire to achieve high standards.
You have high attention to detail.
You should be a strong team player.
Desirable:
You are a part qualified ACCA or CIMA accountant; and
You have experience in using computerised accounting system.
