Caro Communications is an award-winning and specialised public relations consultancy representing a range of architects, designers, manufacturers, retailers, cultural institutions and festivals.
We are looking for an enthusiastic junior account executive to join our friendly and experienced design team. An interest in design and the ability to generate great press coverage is a must, along with ability to multi-task and a can-do attitude.
The role is open to a range of experience levels, but successful candidates will have:
a passion for design and culture
excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail
a proactive and results-driven attitude to winning press coverage
good knowledge of national and international design publications
good time management and organisational skills
Working alongside account executives/managers and account directors, the role of junior account executive encompasses a broad range of activities.
The successful candidate will be responsible for various duties including:
proactively approaching and building relationships with journalists
fulfilling and recording press enquiries
reporting, evaluating and monitoring incoming media coverage
updating Caro Communications’ press database
handling images and press loans
managing and distributing press releases
supporting the team during events
proactively monitoring and contributing to social media
assisting in coordinating all elements of client launches, and press events as required, liaising with exhibitors in the run up to trade events gathering press material from exhibitors
assisting with chasing RSVPs and maintaining RSVP lists for events
helping to organise press events and other functions
maintaining Caro branding/templates
ad-hoc duties as they arise
general team support
Proficiency in InDesign, Photoshop, Excel would also be desirable.
