Exciting growing agency specialising in the media sector is looking for an Senior Account Manager /Account Director to be responsible for managing, creating and implementing imaginative campaigns across a wide variety of channels, encompassing social, broadcast and traditional PR , as well as helping the agency achieve its business ambitions. The successful candidate will be required to head-up a number of media accounts, achieve agreed business development targets, line manage personnel and demonstrate best-practice processes to deliver client satisfaction and successful measurable results.
We are looking for someone with a can-do attitude, business development experience, social and traditional media expertise, an enthusiasm for leading by example, and a passion for Media and Content on all platforms
Specific skills and experience:
Client service expertise – being able to build strong relationships with clients and deliver beyond their expectations
Very solid, buttoned down project management/account handling skills – a safe pair of hands
Experience of social strategy – feeding in to new business responses across the business
A comprehensive understanding of PR, social, digital, brand storytelling and international campaign planning.
Strong organisational skills essential
Multi tasking is essential – need to be able to meet the demands of both clients and company
Good strategic thinker – planning and presenting strategic direction to the clients, adding value on all client briefs
Confidence in interrogating briefs, using initiative and challenging client where necessary
Resourcefulness – ability to think on your feet and find a solution
Leadership skills – to be seen as key contact for clients and galvanising internal team
Strong management skills – being able to bring the best out of the team around you
Business development skills – create and maintain a network to support business development and achieve new business targets
Key Responsibilities
Campaign Planning and Management
Responding to client briefs to establish a clear requirement for the Agency
In the absence of a client brief, gathering and documenting client requirements, questioning and challenging as appropriate to ensure exact requirements are understood. Add value to the process and ensure that this is factored into client cost estimates
Initiating and hosting kick off meetings and documenting agreed outputs
Identifying and coordinating all relevant internal resources that need to participate or contribute to the planning, specification, creation or delivery of the client activity
Creation and maintaining a statement of work (or more detailed scope of work documentation if required) that clearly sets out the agreed tasks and deliverables for the Agency
Creation and maintaining of timing / project plans, gaining the appropriate inputs from other agency members
Creation of ball park estimates (to support statement / scope of work), gaining appropriate input and approvals
Creativity
Maintain a strong understanding of how campaigns relate to the clients business, and how they support the clients overall objectives
Deliver key client messages in engaging and memorable ways
Instigate and lead brainstorming sessions to inspire creative output
Funnel creative thinking into executable strategy
Identify supporting creative assets and secure/provide/publish these where appropriate
Client / Agency Management
Managing internal and client approvals
Oversee the creation and delivery of client status reports
Instigating agency and client status meetings, with supporting content
Managing client expectations through regular and timely updates on projects
Development of post campaign case studies
Ensure and maintain a good working knowledge of the clients’ industries and competitive landscape
A strong understanding and interest of social platforms, trends & measurement
Creating effective presentations to communicate all aspects pertaining to communication planning and project delivery
Creation of client satisfaction surveys and ensuring that these are completed by the client
Team Leadership and Management
Daily (project related) management of Campaign Management resources to ensure all projects are looked after sufficiently ensuring clarity over key tasks, priorities and expected behaviours for each team member
Ensure line management processes for allocated personnel, including regular measurement of activity against campaign and role objectives to develop and support careers
Manage team members to achieve individual objectives, and manage any performance related issues to conclusion
Commercial Management and New Business
Strong commercial acumen, demonstrating good understanding of revenue, profitability and cash flow principles
Demonstration of careful management of resources to fee income, estimates, budgeting, invoicing, time sheet analysis and cost control
Pro-active management of budgets and project plans
Identifying and documenting any risks both internally and with the Client
Management of the monthly resource forecast and ensuring that team are completing and updating timesheets on a real time’ basis
Preparation of revenue / cost reconciliations for all projects
A passion for attracting new business to the company, you will be a proactive networker with a desire to help the agency grow
The ability to deliver new business to the agency to contribute to the agency’s and any individual targets which may be in place
Salary dependent on experience £35-45K
