An integral part of the C-A team, the senior account manager is expected to demonstrate the highest business standards and personal and managerial conduct, leading members of the team by example. The senior account manager has a direct responsibility for working with the AD’s and company director to develop creative and commercially aware campaigns across a portfolio of clients, driving success for both the portfolio and the agency business. The senior account manager would also be expected to lead on such activity on some clients.
The senior account manager acts as the first point of contact for the day to day client contact, constantly working with them to achieve solid editorial results, events and projects, evaluating and making pro-active efforts to improve year on year along the way.
Core responsibilities:
developing and delivering editorial, social media and marketing campaigns, and take responsibility for the creation of budgets and plans
deliver effective coverage for clients
manage your accounts, clients and teams business relationships
be first point of contact for all allocated clients on a day to day level, reporting progress, liaising on all aspects of the PR campaign
delegate weekly tasks to the press officers/SAEs within the team
manage the junior team on the production of monthly progress reports and clippings
copywriting, both client and press facing, creating feature pitch packs, releases and briefing notes
oversee press release mailings and ensure that all relevant media are targeted with each release
play a key role in the growth of account revenue/profitability
demonstrate a high level of initiative and attention to detail
project manage and attend events and launches, trade shows, visits e.g. Maison et Object, Salone de Mobile
identify digital and social media communications trends, educate clients and agency
work with the directors on seeking and securing new business
draft creative new business proposals
manage and lead a team
Skills and experience required:
currently a senior account manager
demonstrate genuine erudition in the design and architecture industry, with a minimum of two/three years agency experience
have highly established sector knowledge, contacts and expertise (i.e. journalists, stylists, photographers, key influencers etc)
outstanding written and verbal communication skills
experienced in independently leading accounts, planning and working to a budget
ability to multitask
innovative problem solving skills
be a Mac user (preferred but not essential)
good knowledge and experience of using Microsoft Office suite
Adobe Photoshop CS, InDesign experience would be advantageous
