Voluntary Action Sheffield (VAS) is the main development and support agency for the voluntary and community sector in Sheffield, employing around 40 full and part-time staff. VAS’s Community Accountancy Service delivers independent examinations, advice and information, group support, and training for voluntary and community organisations and social enterprises locally.
We are looking for a Senior Accountant to:
• Lead the development and delivery of high quality accountancy services to support and strengthen financial management and practice in voluntary and community organisations and social enterprises
• Lead a small team and line manage CAS staff, volunteers and freelance workers • Lead on business development for CAS’s services to ensure sustainability
Have you…
• substantial accounts preparation experience and accountancy qualifications at a minimum of AAT (full member)
• extensive experience of computerised accounting packages
• good communication skills
• experience of working with a range of organisations on financial management
• the ability to lead a small team to deliver high quality services?
