This role will give you the opportunity to work closely with the Director of Development as a key member of a small, high performing team responsible for raising philanthropic income from trusts and foundations and HNWI’s.
This opportunity is ideally suited to someone who is a self-starter, keen to expand their knowledge and skills, with strong organisational skills and the ability to develop positive relationships with colleagues.
Key responsibilities
Securing income from charitable trusts and foundations to achieve organisational strategic goals;
Delivering quality communications with trusts and foundations, including written proposals, reports and presentations;
Managing relationships with trusts and foundations;
Working across the organisation with programme teams and finance teams to develop funding proposals and budgets;
Maintaining and developing fundraising resources;
Managing the funding team site, making sure information is up to date and easily accessible; and
Undertaking research to identify new funding opportunities.
Key requirements
Experience of securing funding from trusts and foundations;
Strong financial and budgeting skills, experienced at using excel;
The ability to write clear and concise fundraising communications;
Experience of designing and delivering power point presentations;
Experience of building positive relationships across teams;
Strong project and time management skills; and
Confidence, creativity and the ability to think laterally.
