The Content Marketing Manager delivers content and messaging for a wide variety of marketing and communications materials, including research reports, articles, sales collateral, web copy, executive talking points and a variety of promotional tools.
A critical part of this role is leading content development for global thought leadership campaigns that position State Street as an industry leader. You will:
Devise and execute content strategy to reach our clients and other core audiences around the world.
Work as part of integrated campaign teams with State Street’s other marketing channels, including employee communications, media relations, global events, social media and creative. You’ll be responsible for making sure the content strategy is executed consistently and concisely across all channels.
Manage our agency partners who produce a lot of our thought leadership material. This requires exceptional editing skills and attention to detail.
Generate content of your own, and understand how content can be reconfigured for different marketing channels, including digital platforms and social media.
Partner with internal subject matter experts to make sure content is strategically aligned with business capabilities and objectives.
While strong writing and editing skills are a necessary foundation for this role, effective content strategy and planning abilities are also vital. You’ll need to convey complex, technical concepts in a way that’s easy for the reader to understand.
You’ll work closely with senior business heads and coordinate global resources to help deliver integrated marketing campaigns with truly distinctive content.
You’ll need to quickly develop a detailed understanding of the company’s communications activities, products and services.
The role reports to the Head of Content Strategy.

Bachelor’s degree in English, marketing communications or other related field
Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills
Impeccable attention to detail
Ability to work well with senior management
Strong financial services background, in-house or agency
Proactive, self-motivated and ready to solve problems
Project management experience
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a global, deadline-oriented environment
Vendor management experience
Experience working in digital and social media environments
Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Familiarity with content management systems
