As Digital Editor you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day editorial leadership of the News and Entertainment production team. We are looking for an innovative and experienced digital journalist with a deep understanding of social media and how video news works online, is monetised and what makes it sharable and clickable. The successful candidate will lead and inspire a specialist team of journalists developing content for multiple clients and platforms on a daily basis as well as reacting to news events and social media trends.
You’ll need to have an instinctive understanding of digital media and ideally direct experience of working with different audiences in the digital space, as well as client management experience. You must be bold, creative and not afraid to tell stories in a different and digitally-relevant way.
Created by ITN Productions, ODE – is the YouTube channel where ITN gets you closer to your favourite celebrities through sit down interviews, red carpet fun and celebrity news. As part of your application, in no more than 400 words, please set out a top-line strategy on how you would develop the ODE YouTube channel. You should outline 3 key actions you would take to achieve this objective, as well as a short description of what makes video news work online.
