Job Description
British Gymnastics (BG) has the following permanent full time post
based at Lilleshall National Sport Centre.
MARKETING OFFICER
37 hours per week
Salary
£22,250 to £30,705 per annum (dependent upon experience) + pension benefit
+ 34 days annual leave (includes Bank Holidays and Company Days)
This is an exciting new opportunity for a marketing professional to join the Marketing & Communications Department at BG to help promote our sport, brand BG, events, programmes, activities, merchandise etc. through the development and activation of a range of multi-channel marketing plans.
The Role
The successful candidate can expect their responsibilities to include:
• Working with the Head of Department to develop an annual marketing plan
• Executing marketing action plans on a project-by-project basis; recommending the marketing mix, messaging, channel selection and activation; activating end-to-end campaigns
• Evaluating the performance of marketing activities
• Supporting the development of internal marketing capability, introducing and developing professional marketing practices, tools and techniques and providing marketing support and advice to colleagues
• Developing and activating campaigns for nominated events and products, including campaign creative, advertising placement, collateral, promotions, sponsor and partner activity etc.

The Person
The ideal individual will have/be able to demonstrate:
• Experience of marketing across digital and traditional marketing environments with relevant degree level or professional qualification
• Proven creativity for developing fresh marketing campaigns and communications, utilising multiple channel activity
• Experience of activating marketing strategies and plans, end-to-end campaigns, and marketing services
• Experience in development and placement of marketing communications
• Proven experience of project management and organisation skills and the ability to work on own initiative
• Excellent IT skills and experience of digital marketing
• Experience of collating, tracking and analysing data and the proven ability to report on campaign performance
• Excellent communication and inter-personal skills for influencing/managing relationships and understanding user experiences and expectations
• A current driving licence and own transport.
