Job Description
Peterborough United Football Club requires motivated, flexible and dedicated individuals to join our Academy Sports Science and Medicine team, for the duration of the 2016-2017 season. Candidates will be required to work a minimum of one day-per-week, which may include weekend and evening work. Ideal for those wishing to gain valuable experience in professional sport.
Various roles are available within the academy sports science department including, delivering sport science support for the foundation phase (U9-U12), youth development phase (U13-U16), and assisting in the delivery of sport science to the professional development phase (U18-U21)
Key Responsibilities
– Planning and evaluation of periodised strength and conditioning programmes to enhance athletic development
– Delivery of gym-based, and on-field strength and conditioning programmes
– Delivery of match day warm-ups
– Monitoring and analysis of player growth and maturation
– Monitoring player workload
– Fitness testing and analysis
– Nutritional advice
Ideally, candidates will possess:
– BSc (Hons) Sports Science or MSc Sports Science or equivalent
– Previous experience working in professional sport
– Previous experience in the delivery of strength and conditioning programmes
– Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including IT literacy
– Own transport
