Cranford House (GSA) is a leading, independent day school for girls aged three to sixteen and boys aged three to seven. Set in over 14 acres in rural South Oxfordshire with easy commuting links to Reading and Oxford, we are seeking to recruit an exceptional, dynamic and motivated Assistant Head (Junior School).
This is an exciting opportunity for an inspiring individual to support the Head in managing the Junior School, embedding outstanding teaching and learning in KS1. The role will assume responsibility for ensuring high outcomes for all learners across KS1 and KS2 and overseeing data and assessment across the Junior School.
An excellent KS1 practitioner, the Assistant Head (Junior School) will support the Head in determining, organising and implementing the curriculum across both KS1 and KS2. The successful candidate will have substantial experience of curriculum leadership and management, likely to have been gained as a Head of Key Stage or in a similar role.
Cranford House was rated ‘excellent’ in all categories in our recent ISI Inspection (November 2014) and ranked 6th nationally at GCSE in The Times Parent Power Survey for Independent Schools (December 2014).
We offer a competitive salary and benefits package and the opportunity to work in a school community with pupils who are happy, confident and motivated and with an approach to learning characterised by curiosity, resilience and a spirit of collaboration.
