The Governing Body are seeking to recruit an outstanding and motivated Assistant Headteacher with a passion for raising standards. Along with the Executive Headteacher, Deputy Executive Headteacher, Head of School and Senior Leadership Team, they will provide strategic leadership for shaping the future of the school and improve effectiveness. As an Assistant Headteacher with responsibility for the Early Years Foundation Stage, the successful applicant will have responsibility for all aspects of provision and outcomes in this phase, including curriculum design, development and implementation and the development and leadership of the EYFS team. This is an opportunity for an enthusiastic dynamic leader to join an experienced leadership team to drive the school forward on its journey to outstanding.
The post will include some class based work and responsibility for leading, developing and supporting effective practice for all pupils throughout the school.
The successful candidate will:
Be an inspirational teacher who demonstrates outstanding classroom practice with a passion and determination to get the best out of the children in their care.
Have high expectations for pupils’ learning and set aspirational targets.
Have the expertise to share outstanding teaching skills throughout the school by modelling, supporting and sharing highly effective teaching strategies.
Be able to take a leading role across the school in teaching and learning, curriculum development and behaviour management. Be able to bring expertise, vision and creativity to lead the development of areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage.
Demonstrate the ability to manage change effectively in line with new educational directives.
Have the ability to develop and sustain excellent relationships with children, staff, parents, governors and other members of the community.
Have excellent organisation and communication skills.
Be committed to safeguarding, promoting the welfare of children and promoting equal opportunities for all.
