The Governors of this well established and successful 11-18 girls’ Catholic School are seeking to appoint a new Assistant Headteacher for September 2015, who is an inspirational person to play a key role in whole school Teaching and Learning strategies with focus on post 16 provision.
Key Areas of Responsibility
Make a significant contribution to the Catholic ethos and values of LSU school.
Lead and co-ordinate whole school Teaching and Learning strategies and share best practice across and within departments, to ensure more independent learning across all Key Stages.
Deputise for the Director of Sixth Form, and work with the Sixth Form Team to maximize outcomes for all students.
Enhance a culture of stretch and challenge, raising students’ aspirations for achievement and progression.
Take a full role in SLT presence and duties around the school.
A requirement of this role is that the post holder must attend regular Safeguarding training, be aware of the School’s Safeguarding policy and report any concerns immediately to the Child Protection Officer, Headteacher or Director of Operations.
Other duties according to the needs of school.
There will be an annual overview of roles across the Leadership Team.
