Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen at Birmingham Moseley RFC for the coming 2016/2017 rugby season working in the sport science department.
The successful candidate will be involved with the senior squad competing in National One league. They will provide soft tissue treatment and manual therapy as well as being involved in the rehabilitation of injured players. The job will involve two evenings a week and a weekend match as well as some extensive travel time to away games, with transport provided.
The role will be based at our ground in Billesley Common (B13 0PT).
Main responsibilities:
• Work closely with senior therapists and other support staff to ensure the maintenance and / or return to fitness of injured players.
• Complete pre-season player screening.
• Oversee student placements from local universities and organise student training whilst on placement.
• Soft tissue management of the senior squad
Key attributes:
Essential
• BSc Physiotherapy or Sports Therapy
• Good communicational skills
• Confident in hands on treatment
• Available Tuesday, Thursday from 16:30 and Saturdays from 12:00.
Desirable
• Previous work in a sporting environment, with some rugby knowledge
• Pitchside trauma qualification
• Full UK drivers Licence
