Purpose of Job
The Associate Director, Design & Transformation will report directly to the Director, Design & Transformation. This role will play a key part in realising the Bank’s plans and be a key contributor in seeing plans through to the final state.
This role will be highly visible and influential, it will interact with the most senior managers in the Bank (The Board, ExCom and MD’s) as well as engaging with more junior staff to ensure a joined up approach is taken, and the delivery of the programme of work in support of the Banks mission and strategic direction.
The Associate Director will also need to work effectively within a dynamic, high-pressure environment and contribute to the strong team cohesion.
Accountabilities
Ensuring appropriate input into the strategic options, analysis, data, documentation and advice is in place to support decision-making.
Manage delivery of project plans and associated outcomes.
Identifying and managing risks, issues and interdependencies and facilitating the resolution of issues and risks.
Responsible for collating the Banks current internal processes and assigning relevant KPI’s to these in order to define the Banks current operating model.
Compile employee data on the roles associated with in scope teams/departments and analyse and present this data to show key metrics and associated costs.
Accountable for ensuring that the correct risk and mitigation assessment is completed against plans by working closely with the Risk Management team & the Principal, CTO Risk. Analyse and assess the findings for the Director, Design & Transformation to review.
Responsible for ensuring that all relevant information is documented in Business Cases and the correct Bank employees have had insight and input into the scope.
Responsible for compiling process plans and project structures associated with projects and ensuring those relevant Bank departments are addressing allocated work Completion of location analysis along with associated financials applicable to different options.
Responsible for ensuring that all relevant supporting documentation is completed and has the appropriate in-putt from stakeholders such as service level agreements, operating models and IT infrastructure plans.
Knowledge, Skills, Experience & Qualifications
Educated to degree level or significant relevant experience
Accounting qualification or working towards this would be desirable or significant relevant experience
Experienced manager of people, financial oversight, processes and systems
Experience in project or programme management and change management would be advantageous
Demonstrated, strong analytical and decision making skills when dealing with highly complex material
Strong stakeholder management skills
Proven ability to influence and work well with others, with the personal authority to effectively harness the cooperation of peers across departments;
Demonstrated judgement skills and a track record of strong solution-orientation and problem-solving;
Political awareness and diplomatic skills, in order to influence a wide range of stakeholders.
