Salary: £24,000 – 30,000 per annum (depending on skills and experience)
Contract: Permanent, full-time
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (will include regular evenings and weekends)
Holidays: 20 days per year + public / bank holidays

Our coaches work full time in mainstream secondary and Special Educational Needs (SEN) schools – and run four community clubs – to provide sport programmes across the capital that equip young people for life.
The Role
We are looking to recruit a qualified, skilled Basketball Head Coach to join our programme at Brampton School. The role is school based and will include planning and delivering a comprehensive high quality coaching and mentoring programme, which will include working alongside the PE department. You will plan and deliver breakfast, lunch time and afterschool clubs, peripatetic (1:1 or small groups) sessions, supporting some curriculum lessons (where agreed with the school) and develop regular competitive opportunities for all players. In addition, you will be required to develop half term holiday provision during the school holidays.
As a coach, you will also work closely with the Impact Team to collect high-quality data to demonstrate the effectiveness of what we do and to quantify the difference we make to our young people. Data is collected at designated times throughout the year and includes; case studies, questionnaires, skills and fitness testing. Our coaches also review the young peoples’ progress and set targets for their future development.

The Person
The ideal candidate will need to demonstrate a commitment to working with the wider Greenhouse team and show the drive to deliver ‘The Greenhouse Capabilities Framework’. The successful candidate will also need to show a commitment to respecting the schools’ ethos and values.
To be considered for this role, you must be an Basketball England minimum Level 2 (or equivalent) qualified coach and have experience of working with young people in a school or club setting. You must also demonstrate strong mentoring skills, as well as be a confident and capable IT user.
In addition, you will demonstrate excellent administrative and organisational skills needed to effectively plan and manage the programme and capture all relevant data in a timely manner.
