City in the Community Foundation are recruiting two full time CityLifestyles coaches to join the team in Manchester.
The CityLifestyles Coaches will be responsible for the delivery of the CityLifestyles programme in a variety of settings across Manchester. The majority of their time will be spent hosting the CityLifestyles groups in our local community. The successful candidates will deliver family focused physical activity sessions, cooking lessons and education classes covering nutrition, physical activity and lifestyle advice. In addition, they must be available to work weekday evenings.
Key responsibilities include:
• To lead on the CityLifestyles Programme.
• To ensure all data is up to date on Substance Views and all targets are achieved.
• To ensure pre and post testing is completed and on Substance Views.
• To support the Health Officer in the development of the CityLifestyles programme.
We are looking for candidates who have a good knowledge of health and physical activity along with experience of leading on health projects/initiatives. Candidates should have a good understanding of CITC themes and programmes. It is important that the candidates can effectively communicate health messages to complex groups. Candidates must have excellent time management and prioritisation skills, along with the ability to work independently and use their own initiative. It is essential that candidates have proven experience in delivering high quality sessions and programmes, preferably within the health, sport or community sector. Finally, we are looking for flexible, positive, resilient and determined candidates.
