Job Description
An opportunity has arisen for an outstanding candidate to take on the role of full-time Community Rugby Coach.
Main Purpose:
To deliver community rugby development programmes into partner schools, rugby clubs and other community organisations.
To deliver community rugby development programmes to include schools coaching, club coaching, festivals, tournaments and rugby camp programmes as required by Bath Rugby and PRL.
To help deliver commercial aspects of Bath Rugby’s Matchday Experience (eg., centrally contracted rugby programmes, Matchday PRL, Showpiece Events, Matchday Magic, Matchday Festivals, Guard of Honour, Half-time Activities, Matchday Mascots) and any other new Bath Rugby “products” that may be created.
To foster, maintain and strengthen Bath Rugby’s community partnerships with local schools, clubs and organisations.
To assist with and undertake other duties deemed commensurate with the post and as directed by the Community Team.
Reports to: Community Manager
Candidate Requirements:
• Minimum RFU Level 2
• Full Enhanced DBS check through the RFU
• Safeguarding and Protecting Children qualification (within past 3 years)
• Inclusive Coaching qualification (within past 3 years)
• Equity in Your Coaching qualification (within past 3 years)
• First Aid trained (within past 3 years)
• Proven track record and experience in coaching rugby to children
• Experience of working with a wide variety of partners and
stakeholders; including schools, sports clubs and national governing
bodies
• Strong, assertive and diplomatic communicator
• Ability to work alone and within an organised team environment
• An enthusiastic and committed individual who will ‘go the extra mile’
to deliver results with a ‘can do’ attitude
• Valid driving licence and access to a vehicle suitable for use at work
• Willingness to work flexible hours
