Job Description
To support the Head of Community, and assist in the delivery of programmes in schools and clubs. Manage relationships at the schools and clubs, in the development, delivery and reporting of all community rugby initiatives.
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Role To Supply:
• To provide admin support to Head of Community
• Deliver all community programmes as required
• Plan and prepare high quality coaching sessions according to relevant needs and requirements
• Provide a varied approach to coaching students, including opportunities to develop skills
• Promote high standards
• To develop a culture in which pupils set out and adhere to their own values and expectations
• Ensure the health, safety and security of the students at all times when under your supervision
• Represent London Irish to the highest possible standard, ensuring students follow the values of good sportsmanship at all times
• To participate in festivals, camps, clinics and match days
• To make club appearances
• Qualified Rugby Coach (Minimum RFU Level 2)
• Understanding of school and club rugby coaching requirements and can display skills within this area
• Good communication skills to ensure relationships between community partner clubs and schools
• Community projects administration
• Desire and passion for coaching
Applicant will be required to supply evidence of sports development or a rugby organisation background
