Dance Coach (Hip Hop) – Union of Students – England

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
1) To be the key Union contact with regards to operational development duties, working alongside the clubs elected student committee members.
2) To develop and deliver effective team training and individual skill development sessions on a weekly basis in preparation for competitions.
3) To be a positive and professional role model at all times, displaying good coaching conduct and promoting an enjoyable, motivating and inclusive atmosphere which upholds the ethos of Team Derby
4) To support and promote the development of the club, helping to meet its aims and objectives, and liaising with the Committee & Union staff on future development requirements
5) To work with the county sport and NGB to feedback and update the club with relevant developments in the sport
6) To be responsible for the safety of all participants during training, ensuring the safe use of equipment by adhering to the Health & Safety guidelines of University facilities
7) To act in accordance with the coach code of practice and NGB guidelines
8) To abide by the University Equal opportunities policy at all times
9) Attend and contribute to any Coach Development Reviews during the season
10) Any other duties appropriate to the role, as directed by the Union of Students

Experience Required:
– Minimum 2 years experience of coaching Hip Hop
– Underpinning knowledge of sport
– Technical and practical skills and knowledge as required

– Acting as a role model, gaining the respect and trust of the people you work with
– Coordinating and maintaining records of participants performance and attendance
– Planning your own work schedule.
