Job Description
We are looking for a Data Analyst to work within the ukactive Research Institute team. Working as part of a small but dynamic team, you will provide data analysis support internally for the organisation as well as externally to our members.
Your main responsibilities
» Support the Data and Insight lead in delivering bespoke consultancy projects to our members
» Support Research Institute across all research projects, this will include collation of data, data cleaning, statistical analysis and reporting
Essential competencies
» Educated to degree level in a quantitative field (i.e. Maths, Engineering, Computer Science, Physics)
» Must be numerate and comfortable with data with experience in modelling datasets of different types and sizes using a variety of different methodologies
» Ability to process and analyse datasets
» SPSS and Matlab capabilities
» Strong Excel capabilities
» Must have a firm foundation in statistical methods
» Clear, concise, informative and grammatically correct writing style with an attention to detail
» Ability to prioritise and balance demands from multiple sources
» Confident and calm under pressure with a track record of meeting multiple and overlapping deadlines
Desired competencies
» A strong and confident communicator and networker
» Masters level qualification in a relevant subject
