Development Administrative Assistant – Welsh Cycling – Newport, South Wales

Job Description
    Job Purpose
To provide administrative support to the Welsh Cycling staff, with particular emphasis on colleagues in the Development team

    Key Responsibilities
• Provide logistical support to the Development programme e.g. inventory, replenish and deploy equipment for events. Placing booking for venues, catering and accommodation.
• Provide administrative support through collation and checking of paperwork, data entry and reporting to ensure the team are able to monitor and deliver on programmes such as Go Ride, holiday activities, Breeze, club development, membership support etc.
• Provide administrative support to the Development team as directed by the office Manager i.e. improve and manage spreadsheet trackers for vehicles, equipment and assets, bike loan scheme, cycling club affiliations and other initiatives as they arise.
• Administration of coach education and workforce development courses e.g. ride leader, coaches, commissaries, and cycle event marshals.

    Other Responsibilities
• To work on special projects for the benefit of Welsh Cycling as and when requested by the Line Manager.
• To work as part of a team and make a positive contribution to the achievements of team objectives, this may mean supporting other areas of administration when necessary.
• To collaborate with other staff to develop policy and strategy via staff meetings and working groups as necessary.

    Continuing Professional Development
• Maintain current knowledge of Welsh Cycling programmes, policies and practices.
• Develop and maintain professional knowledge, skills and qualifications
Additional Information
• As the post involves working with children and young people, the post holder will be required to undergo an enhanced Criminal Records Bureau and Independent Safeguarding Authority check as part of the Vetting & Barring scheme.
• This post may require the post holder to carry out work during evening and weekend periods for which either ‘Time off in Lieu’ or overtime will be offered.
