This role is for an experienced development producer with a track record of generating successful ideas through to commission. This role is specifically focussed on a streaming service available in America and the international market. The successful applicant will have a broad awareness and interest in documentary and specialist factual documentary content within this market.
You must be a brilliant writer, as this role requires first class, fast turnaround writing. It is desirable to have experience of managing your own slate of ideas, as well as pitching them.

Role Responsibility
Working closely with the Head of Development, Documentaries and Creative Director of Development to develop a range of diverse stories and ideas.
Generate ideas for development showing an awareness of the US television market, the streaming platforms and internationally.
The ability to progress projects from original ideas through to commission.
Produce well researched, crafted and compelling treatments.
Proactively undertake research to identify and develop new talent.
Manage and direct contributions from more junior members of team to help build on ideas.
Are you the right candidate?
You will have relevant credits at Development Producer level.
Proven experience in developing ideas for the US and streaming platforms, such as Netflix, Hulu, HBO Max and Discovery+.
Genres you’ll have particular experience in are: limited series single narrative (e.g true crime, true con); travel; and lifestyle
You will have experience developing ideas for world-famous talent
You will have excellent communication skills and excel at writing fast turnaround treatments
Successful track record of winning access to original stories
Strong journalistic instincts and skills
