Job Description
The Albion Foundation (registered Charity 1081948) is an established and successful provider of Sports and Education programmes.
The role:
Reporting to the Disability Development Manager the successful candidate will be responsible for:
– Delivery of multi sport programmes to a wide range of disabled participants, which will include a diverse range of children of various ages and abilities both in schools and within the community.
– Delivery of group/one to one mentoring and classroom support through sport based programmes.
– Planning, delivering and adapting coaching sessions with support and training from line manager.
– Delivering other sports, as well as other related areas of coaching such as fundamentals and multi-skills.
– Promote disability sport awareness through a variation of different programmes.
– Working within the curriculum and beyond, and will be expected to work regularly on evenings, weekends and school holidays.
– An area of development that will be chosen to match the skill set of the successful candidate and how this can add value to the Foundation
You:
– Will hold at least 2 National Governing Body Awards in Coaching, 1 of those being a FA coaching certificate level 2 in Football. You shall also be able to demonstrate previous experience of working within a similar environment of disability sport.
– Will have the passion and ability to utilise the brand name of West Bromwich Albion FC to engage young people into activity programmes.
– Will have inter-personal skills, enthusiasm and energy that will quickly earn the respect of your colleagues and partners alike.
– Will have a flexible approach to work, as will be the ability to plan and organise your work to a busy schedule.
– Will be open minded on coaching styles, with a commitment to further develop your current body of skills. Knowledge of Child Protection and welfare will be essential
