The Role
As evidence uptake lead, you will provide leadership in defining and implementing a learning agenda and evidence- engagement approach. You will also take the lead on how to ensure organisational knowledge and evidence-based learning are used in programmes.
What we are looking for
We aim to make a major contribution to development policy and practice through investments in the generation, uptake and use of programme evidence and insights – in Oxfam, and beyond. With a focus on the use of evidence, we are looking for someone who can lead the development and delivery of a shared, learning agenda across our programme
priorities.
You need to understand, strategically, how to get evidence taken up and help us leverage the value of our skills and expertise, and the insights and evidence we generate, for the benefit of the wider Oxfam and other development actors in the sector. This includes facilitating understanding of key learning questions that respond not just to today’s issues but to tomorrow’s.
We are looking for an experienced professional who is equally at ease in a participatory workshop or field visit with country partners, as they are in front of a podium (or roundtable) at a major policy conference. Someone with technical understanding of research and/or evaluation, and who can look beyond detail and help us strategize on how best to leverage knowledge for wider benefit through local, regional and international partners.
As a ‘convenor with clout’, you will have the energy and drive to make a real mark in a complex, networked organization and do this in a collegiate way, working in partnership with teammates, colleagues and collaborators around the world. Our team values curiosity, humility and a commitment to getting things done. We do our best to bring Oxfam values of accountability, empowerment and inclusiveness into our technical practice and our day-to-day work.
We offer
This role will give you an opportunity to work with a group of passionate people with fair pay and competitive benefits package.
