Full time position (37 hours per week) – permanent
Based at the National Water Sports Centre, Holme Pierrepont, Nottingham
Salary Competitive – dependent upon experience

British Canoeing has an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and adaptable team member with a ‘can do’ and solution focused approach to join its team to support the Performance Programme in its mission to deliver outstanding medal winning performances in the 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

The executive assistant to the Performance Department will act as the first point of contact for the Performance Director (PD) and Head of Performance Operations (PO). They will excel at working under pressure, balancing and prioritising a demanding workload and able to work independently.

This is an excellent opportunity for a confident and experienced individual to join a major Olympic and Paralympic performance programme to contribute towards its Tokyo 2020 medal aspirations.

The ability to build strong relationships within the organisation and with external stakeholders is crucial and want to be part of an ambitious, focused and committed Performance Leadership team.

Within a framework of processes, systems and policies to ensure that the operational delivery of the Tokyo strategy is efficient and effective.

British Canoeing athletes have delivered 16 Olympic medals in the last five Olympic Games and 5 Paralympic medals at the Rio Paralympic Games. The British Canoeing performance programme based in Nottingham operates from the National Watersports Centre in Nottingham and from the Lee Valley Whitewater Course in Hertfordshire.

The post holder will require substantial experience of working in project management at a senior level or able to demonstrate experience in this kind of role and has the ability to take individual responsibility for projects from concept to completion.
