Job Description
We are looking for passionate and motivated Football Coaches to assist in the delivery of our dynamic football programme for 16-18 year olds at each of our sites including SGP Graves, SGP Thorncliffe, SGP Westfield and Wednesbury Soccer & Fitness Centre initially. We require a Football Coaches at each of these established sites.
You will be responsible for the organisation and delivery of the coaching programme for our Football Academy, ensuring the delivery of excellence in all areas. Your aims are to develop the student’s life skills, but most importantly develop players to give them the opportunity to succeed at a Semi Professional/Professional football team. You will arrange opportunities for students for showcase games to compete against Professional Academies. In addition to these, you will create opportunities for players to compete in trial games in front of leading national and international scouts.
Throughout the course you will use your industry knowledge and experiences to show the students what pressures there are with being a professional footballer. You will highlight key factors for preparation of a game, the types of training required and displaying the correct diet to consume pre and post football matches. You will work closely with Wembley and Etihad UCFB Football Universities and the FA, local schools and junior clubs, parents, teachers, managers, coaches and scouts in order to develop strong relationships thus enabling you to deliver the above.
You must hold FA Youth Coaching Modules 1, 2 and 3, Level 2 in Football Coaching and at least be working towards Level 3. You should be First Aid and Safeguarding trained and certificated. Self-motivation, focussed and the ability to travel independently are essential.
