Michael Tarring Architects Ltd is looking for a freelance architect or experienced Part-II architectural assistant with a passion for high quality design to support a number of exciting projects, particularly private residential schemes.
We are a young and ambitious practice looking for a committed and enthusiastic individual to contribute to, and be part of its growing success.
The right candidate will possess a rounded skill set to handle every stage of the design process from conception to completion, whilst taking ownership and delivering to deadlines.
The immediate focus will be on the submission of planning applications; construction packages and supporting live projects on site.
The candidate must have:
fluency in AutoCAD, Google Sketchup and Adobe Design Suite, preferably on Apple Mac
experience in the preparation of planning applications and construction drawing packages
fully competent detailing skills
strong 3D visualisation skills
excellent communication and all round design skills
experience with the UK planning laws and building regulations essential
experience in residential projects preferred
Initial requirement will be for two to three days a week.
Applicants must be fluent in spoken and written English.
Salary will be competitive based on skills and experience.
Candidate will be required to work from our studio in Hackney, east London.
Start date is September/October 2015.
