Graduate Sports Assistant (specialising in netball)
Required for September 2017
Two year contract – term time only (36 weeks)
Approx. 45 hours per week including weekend work
An exciting opportunity has arisen to appoint an enthusiastic graduate sports coach to join our thriving Sports Department as an Assistant Sports Coach to assist with the coaching of all sport, and netball in particular, to all ages in this 3-18 school. The successful candidate will have a strong sporting or coaching background, particularly in netball. The post is most likely to appeal to graduates who are passionate about sport and who are looking to develop their skills and experience for a career in sport or education.
Physical Education & games are taught throughout the school and sport plays a major part in school life with a competitive and diverse fixture list. The major sports are hockey, netball and rounders for the girls and rugby, hockey and cricket for the boys and our teams have developed an excellent reputation on a regional and national level. The appointed candidate will be expected to contribute fully to the extensive co-curricular programme during school, after school and at weekends.
The department enjoys excellent facilities across the School sites, including all-weather surfaces, netball courts, fitness suite and swimming pool (at Stroud School). The school owns facilities locally at Wellington Sports ground, which has thirty three acres of grounds, tennis courts, netball courts and a water based artificial pitch.
