Our vision is to be Hertfordshire’s leading facility and service provider for sports, health and fitness. We are looking for a motivated Group Exercise lead and Health and Fitness Coach with a service excellence mind-set who will compliment an already successful Fitness Team.
Our Health & Fitness team are at the forefront of delivering expert knowledge and education to our members throughout their fitness journeys. This is the perfect position for someone wanting to make a real impact in the fitness industry and become an ambassador for the fitness community.
Main duties and responsibilities
You will deliver and grow a world class group exercise training programs for our members and guests by managing the day to day running of our Group exercise programme. You will deliver outstanding group exercise sessions and all stages of our members Journey, taking some of our Studio classes and gym floor SMASH classes ensuring all members and students receive world class customer service at all times. You will also be responsible for managing the Group exercise team as well as maintaining the Studio spaces and equipment.
Skills and Experience
You must be personable, self-motivated and committed to making positive change ensuring that our members are at the heart of every decision. Being able to work on your own but also within our team is a must. Your standards will be high, and you will expect the same of your colleagues also.
You must be able to use your own initiative, be pro-active, work well under pressure and be able to work as part of a busy and friendly team whilst always maintaining a professional manner.
As Group Exercise Lead/ Health & Fitness Coach you will have the ability to deliver Personal Training alongside this role. This will be on a self-employed bases, paying a minimal rent fee while making your earning potential endless! You will also be able to deliver group exercise classes outside of your contract on an Hourly Paid Sports Coach basis.
Qualifications Required
GCSE level grade 4/C or above, or equivalent, including Maths, English and Biological Sciences. Level 2 Gym Instructor certification is required and a Level 3 Personal Trainer qualification is desirable. You will hold a number of relevant Group Exercise qualifications across multiple disciplines.
Having some experience working in the fitness industry and as a Group Exercise instructor/ Lead would be desirable but not essential.
