The Role
We are seeking industry professionals who are passionate about Impact Investing as a sector and are looking to be a part of something groundbreaking.
For the mentor role (called “Professional Coach” at Meteoric), you will have advanced knowledge and expertise in Impact Investing as well as a passion for coaching and guiding those that are seeking to learn in this exciting space.
As a Professional Coach you will work with our team in Cape Town on the development and delivery of pioneering simulation-based learning programs. During the development phase you will have the opportunity to critique and give input on the design of the simulations.
Thereafter, during the ongoing delivery phase, you will take part in the simulation activities, as well as help to guide and support the participants of the Meteoric program as they navigate challenging Impact Investing situations.
Responsibilities
Work with our Cape Town product development team to develop the simulations
Provide relevant and current resources and industry knowledge to support the development, including recommending career resources and practical toolkit
Be accessible by email, telephone and face-to-face meetings where applicable at reasonable notice to our team
Commit to a minimum of 1 hour per week to coach participants, for a minimum of 3-6 months
Review and provide feedback on the agreed components for each simulation
During the delivery of each simulation, assist our team with queries as they arise, and collaborate to improve the offering after each cohort delivery
Requirements
Experienced practitioner (minimum of 10 years’ working in the sector), who has a strong grasp of industry principles
A passion for sharing expertise and knowledge
Some teaching mentoring/coaching experience preferred
Excellent communicator, comfortable communicating with global teams virtually
Ability to work remotely, using Google docs and Zoom/Skype
