The Role
We are seeking an Instructor in Social Entrepreneurship and Impact Investing who has advanced knowledge and extensive working experience in international development. The instructor will have intimate familiarity with the following topics: human centred design, social entrepreneurship, different types of impact models, impact investing, and systems innovation.
Responsibilities
Provide relevant and current resources to support the improvement course, including recommending reference texts and practical tool kits
Be accessible by email, telephone and face-to-face meetings where applicable at reasonable notice to our team
During the presentation of each course, lead the delivery of two live discussion sessions
Interact with students on the discussion forums and monitor and drive discussions
Answer any academic questions of students
Mark students’ assignments
Requirements
Experienced professional (minimum 10 years’ working in the subject area), who has worked for a number of highly reputable sustainable development organizations throughout their working career
Strong grounding in related academic theory, and extensive understanding of practical application in the field
Masters degree
Passionate about translating practical knowledge into accessible learning activities
A teaching background (either in an Adjunct role or internal organizational training) preferably to undergraduate level students, both in person and online
Excellent communicator, sensitive listening and questioning skills, able to simplify complex concepts and collaborate with our instructional designers and team
Experience in e-learning preferred
Ability to work remotely, using Google docs and Zoom/Skype
