Lead Physiotherapist U18s PDP – Manchester City Football Club

Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Manchester City Football Club Academy for a full time, permanent physiotherapist to join as the lead to the U18 professional development phase physiotherapist.
The Lead Physiotherapist will contribute to the achievement of the aims and objectives of the Medical and Sport Science (performance department Academy) department through the delivery of best practice physiotherapy along the care pathways.
We are looking for candidates with significant experience working in a professional sporting club and working in an interdisciplinary sports science and medicine team. Candidates should also have extensive experience in the delivery of injury diagnosis, treatment and prevention strategies within a sporting environment.

Key responsibilities will include;
• To fulfil the role of a chartered physiotherapist in the assessment, diagnosis and rehabilitation of all injuries.
• To assist in the delivery and development of world class clinical practice within the medical department MCFC/CFS
• To assist in the development of evidence based protocols for all areas of physiotherapy within the MCFC & associated teams using all available resources including the latest research and collaboration with clinical specialists.
• As part of the Sports Medicine Department provide emergency aid cover for both training sessions and matches. To maintain up to date AREA accreditation to meet all legal requirements for this specific part of the role.
• To assist in the implementation of the departmental injury prevention protocols through assessment, analysis, delivery and auditing of collected data.
• To assist in the development of the MDT approach to scholar long term development from a holistic model & involving all key stakeholders
