The Role
The HE Sport and Elite Sport Department is actively recruiting for a Lecturer in Sports Coaching. This post is a job share consisting of a 0.7 FTE contract with the HE Sport team teaching undergraduate learners and 0.3 FTE contract with the Elite Sport team supporting the level 4 Sport Coach apprenticeship programme.
This is an exciting opportunity for you to join a progressive, learner focused departments that places innovative teaching, learning and assessment at the forefront of their professional practice.
For this role, you will have experience of teaching undergraduate learners within the area of Sports Coaching, with an ability to contribute towards the off the job delivery and assessment of the level 4 Sport Coach (School pathway) apprenticeship programme as advised by the programme co-ordinator. This programme supports apprentices actively working as a coach within the education sector who are preparing for their end point assessment.

The Applicant
You will have a commitment to learner centered learning with teaching and curriculum design, underpinned by scholarly activity, research and/or experience as an applied practitioner.
To be successful you will have a Masters and a good honours degree that are relevant to the post along with teaching experience.
