Job Description
Loughborough Students Women’s Football Club currently has over 70 members registered. We have four squads competing in BUCS and local regional leagues. Loughborough University is consistently ranked as one of the best and most successful sporting universities in the country, as well as having a fantastic international reputation. We are looking for a passionate, experienced and inspiring coach to lead the first team in the 2016/2017 season.

The post will be part-time with around 0-10 hours required per week; this includes Wednesday and Sunday matches and also training which takes place out of office hours. It is required that the coach should be present at all matches and therefore needs to be available on Wednesdays during the day. We will however accept applications from people who can’t be present on Wednesday due to other commitments but it may be taken into consideration when the candidate is being selected.

If you are a student this role will not be paid and will be classed as voluntary/work experience. We offer excellent CPD opportunities for students wanting to get involved with football coaching and if suitable we can subsidies any relevant coaching qualifications they wish to take.

Job Duties:
Management
1. Management of other coaches is vital.
2. To ensure high level of communication between all squads to guarantee development and squad movement of players.
3. Provide support and advice to assistant coaches and helpers within the coaching team.
4. Hold regular meetings with other coaches.

Coaching
1. Head Coach of the football first team
2. Whilst working alongside the committee, set appropriate goals for the 1st team and create a strategy to ensure these goals are met.
3. To plan appropriate sessions for the 1st team that will ensure development and progression of all players.
4. To be responsible for pre-season training (July – August).
5. To command respect from players and fellow coaches.
6. To attend all training sessions and matches (Wednesday & Sunday).

Other
1. To maintain a professional attitude at all times.
2. To attend any meetings with fellow coaches and club committee where appropriate.
3. Attend other fixtures to assess development where possible.
