The role of Activity Instructor (Netball Coach) is primarily to deliver fun, structured netball sessions for groups of children and adults aged between 4 and 14 years old & 18+
As well as netball you will have the opportunity to be part of our Instructor team delivering outstanding customer support to groups of children. You will be expected to deliver (with supporting resources) activities to children aged between 6 and 14 years as well as for adults 18+, with the emphasis being on participation, structure, and development. You will also have a pastoral role, being the group leader and key contact for one of the groups of children on the course.
Duties and Responsibilities:
•Delivering Fun and structured netball sessions to groups of children & adults
•Prepare and deliver activities for children aged 6-14 and adults 18+, focussing on participation, development, and enjoyment.
•Ensure all policies and procedures of centre are adhered to by yourself and the children & adults in your care, including health and safety, and safeguarding procedures.
•Help to set up and maintain the netball course
•Take a pastoral role as a group leader, welcoming new children & adults into your group and liaising with the Centre Manager and/or parents as necessary.
•Other ad-hoc duties (reporting broken equipment)
Requirements:
•Minimum Level 1 qualified netball coach, with experience working with children or adults.
•Other coaching/teaching experience desirable.
