We are looking for like minded people to be part of our PE Specialist team that will provide a comprehensive offer to our partner schools. As a PE specialist you will coordinate, plan, support and deliver lessons, out of school hour clubs, competitions and assessments.
The PE Specialist role has been developed to provide highly qualified, supported and trained PE professionals to work in the school environment. Governed by the schools policies and procedures, the PE Specialist will deliver a programme in line with the schools teaching and learning policy. The role will provide specialist support for your PE subject leader to deliver a bespoke programme that will improve the PE and Sport provision for the children in your school.
Deliver high quality PE lessons that provide opportunities for every pupil to achieve their potential.
Provide expertise to plan, promote and map the National Curriculum across the whole school.
Support observation, team teach and reflection to up skill teachers to improve confidence and quality of lessons.
Utilise technology to evidence pupil performance and progressions achieved.
Provide an assessment tailored to the school’s current systems on a regular basis.
Support the school to gain Gold standard in the School Games Kitemark & YST Quality Mark
Coordinate and deliver Out of School Hours Learning provision.
Deliver school based health programmes such as Change 4 Life and Energy clubs.
Deliver Leadership opportunities to support wider school provision and playground activity.
Coordinate school to club links and provide a sporting pathway for pupils.
Provide the opportunity to deliver holiday sports provision in partnership with the school.
Support schools with the delivery of Level 1 competitions and coordinate teams for level 2.

Level 2 Sports Coaching Qualification – E
QTS or Level 3 Teaching Assistant – E
Minimum of 5 years experience of delivering school sport – E
Excellent communication skills – E
The ability to build good relationships with pupils, staff and parents – E

The ability to deliver high quality PE lessons & physical activity sessions – E
Confident when working with the 4-11 age range – E
Ability to motivate and engage children in physical activity sessions and progressive PE lessons – E
Fast learner, flexible and highly organised – E
Sense of humour – D
Ability to show initiative in introducing a varied programme of activities – E
Own car and clean driving licence – E
A wide variety of sporting knowledge and experience – E
Sports related degree/foundation degree or equivalent – D
A variety of Level 1 Sports Coaching – E
