Job Title Performance Coach
Reports to Head of performance

Location: Contracted club locations
Hours Part-time; flexible. 2-8 hours per week.
Remuneration: £10 per hour.
Job Purpose:
• To work as part of a group of coaches to deliver elite performance services to grass-roots football players and contracted football clubs.
• To plan and deliver performance programmes based on the GCP framework to prevent injury and to maintain and improve the physical condition of players.
• To administer performance assessment services and feedback this information to the relevant parties.
Qualifications and Experiences
Essential
• Qualified to Bachelors level degree in sport science or a related subject area
(or working towards this).
• Qualified to UKCC level one or above, preferably in football.
• Experience of working in an elite football environment
(i.e. professional club or academy).
• Completed (or working towards) Emergency Aid & Safeguarding Children
Qualifications
• DBS Checked
• Coaching experience at any level (minimum 1 year experience)
• Driving licence and access to vehicle
Desirable
• Working towards UKSCA Accreditation
• Enrolled on BASES Supervised Experience
• Reps Level 2 Fitness Instructor or Level 3 Personal Trainer
• FA Physical performance (level 3) award.
• UKA Level 1 Qualified Coach or Coaching Assistant
• ISAK Level 1 award in Anthropometry
• Qualified to Masters level degree in sport science or a related subject area.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
1 Assist with delivery and administration of the performance programme.
2 To deliver age-appropriate sessions at the GCP satellite sessions that incorporates injury prevention strategies and enhances speed, agility, power, coordination and mobility.
3 To deliver age-appropriate sessions at contracted grass-roots clubs that incorporate injury prevention strategies and enhance speed, agility, power, coordination and mobility.
4 To deliver sessions at contracted elite contracted clubs overseen by a senior GCP coach.
5 To deliver and feedback performance based assessments to the relevant parties.
6 To assist with gym based off-field training programmes when required.
7 Liaise with medical staff to assist with the rehabilitation of players when required.
8 To partake in a continuous personal development programme so to enhance the skills of the individual and colleague coaches.
9 Deliver a syllabus of Nutritional education workshops to all parties
10 Maintain GCP training monitoring and reflective practise logs
11 Adhere to GCP social media policy at all times
12 Adhere to GCP staff code of conduct at all times

• Able to travel to desired locations efficiently
