Personal Assistant x4 – BBC – London

Job Introduction
BBC Content is responsible for commissioning, producing, scheduling and broadcasting content across all our channels and iPlayer. We are currently looking for a number of Personal Assistants to join the Factual Commissioning team due to a number of exciting new Senior hires joining the team. We have a permanent position available, x2 6 month opportunities and a 3 month position. Please reference on your application which contract you would be most interested in. You will be playing a vital role within the business, assisting our teams to deliver outstanding content that strives to enrich the lives of our audience and fulfils the BBC’s original purpose to inform, educate and entertain.

Role Responsibility
Supporting multiple stakeholders, you will provide professional and well organised administrative and PA support at a senior level in BBC Content. You’ll act as the first point of contact for senior managers, creating a positive impression for both internal and external contacts.
You will be managing complex diaries, assisting managers in making each day as effective as possible and ensuring that they are fully prepared for their meetings. You’ll also be required to contribute to ad hoc projects as necessary and to proactively assist managers in meeting their business objectives.
You will act as a key champion of change in the division, demonstrating a proactive approach including exploring how new technology and ways of working can contribute to team and divisional objectives. You’ll be a key part of a cohesive and supportive team of PAs and Team Assistants in Television, working collaboratively to ensure that the needs of the business are supported.

Are you the right candidate?
We’re looking for highly organised PA’s with substantial experience working at a senior level, who is able to expertly manage complex, consistently changing diaries for multiple stakeholders. Experience and interest in broadcasting and the media industry is preferred but not essential.
You’ll need to be able to handle confidential information with tact and diplomacy as well as being a quick learner of office systems and procedures. You’ll relish being part of a collaborative team and have excellent communication and influencing skills, unafraid to approach people at all levels of seniority.
You’ll need to be highly driven, extremely pro-active, able to use your initiative and be confident when juggling multiple tasks and conflicting priorities. Just as important will be your passion for Factual programming, the BBC and your excitement at being part of a team that’s creating some of the most diverse and admired content in the world.

Hybrid working – combination of home and office (at least 2/3 days per week in the Glasgow Pacific Quay office or as required).
