PL Kicks Coach/Youth Worker – Cambridge United Community Trust

Job Description
Cambridge United Community Trust (CUCT) are looking to appoint a Passionate, Personable and Proactive individual to assist our PL Kicks Officer with the delivery of our FREE Turn-Up and Play Football/Multi-sport sessions. Sessions are for boys & girls aged 8-18 across Central Cambridge.
At CUCT, our PL Kicks sessions are NOT training sessions. They provide an environment for young people to feel safe, meet other young people and enjoy themselves! These sessions provide the platform for participants to engage with the programme on a consistent basis to provide transformational and sustainable personal change, where they’ll have the opportunity to engage in social action and continued sport education.

Therefore, candidates MUST have previous experience in working with young people and/or be able to demonstrate the values and skills that align with the role requirements. Candidates MUST also hold a Level 1 National Governing Body sports qualification as a minimum.
We’re looking for individuals who are: Respectful, Reliable and Hardworking. Ensuring the welfare and positive experience of the young people they’ll be working with is at the forefront of their minds.
Hours will typically be based around late afternoon/evening sessions (TBC after COVID-19 restrictions ease). There may be more than 1 session on a particular evening, based in a different location in central Cambridge. The maximum distance between the session venues we currently use is 5 miles, therefore candidates MUST have access to their own vehicle and hold a valid drivers licence.

How to apply
Please email sam.squire@cambridge-united.co.uk your current CV and 50-200 words explaining why you are the suitable candidate with specific reference to your experience and suitability for the role.
