Premier League Primary Stars Lead – Leeds United Foundation – England

Purpose:
Leeds United Foundation are seeking to recruit an experienced, highly motivated enthusiastic, target driven manager to develop its Premier League Primary Stars Programme. The role is to develop and enhance the operations of Premier League Primary Stars within schools across Leeds and the surrounding areas. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the Leeds United Foundation Premier League Primary Stars programme and leading a team to deliver and co-ordinate a variety of high-quality education enrichment for Key Stage 1 and 2 students, aligned with the National Curriculum and Ofsted frameworks.
The Premier League Primary Stars Lead will manage a team to build upon its status within primary education across Leeds and surrounding areas, to further develop and grow opportunities to deliver the Foundation’s Premier League Charitable Fund’s flagship programme working with key stakeholders locally, regionally, and nationally to meet the strategic and operation plans for Leeds United Foundation and the Premier League.
You will have principal responsibility for growing delivery, and operational management of the Primary Stars programme in Leeds and the surrounding areas. You will be responsible for recruiting, training, and leading a team of staff to work in a range of primary school and other educational venues.

Main areas of responsibility:
• Work with the Executive Head of Education to grow the Primary Stars programme inline with the Foundation’s Strategic Objectives.
• Manage and coordinate a team of staff to execute delivery of high-quality physical education and educational support in schools across Leeds and the surrounding areas. Effectively and efficiently manage allocated budgets delivering on time and inline.
• Identify, create and manage strong relationships with a range of key stakeholders to ensure the ongoing success of the programme.
• Develop and implement robust quality assurance mechanisms to ensure the highest standards are maintained across key compliance areas.
• Monitor and access programme outcomes against Key Performance Indictors.

Principal Actions and Accountability:
• To lead, supervise and support a dynamic team of staff, ensuring they understand and comply with programme guidelines and grant terms and conditions.
• Adopt effective approaches in relation to managing staff, in accordance with individual needs and best practice.
• Create innovative ways to educate and engage young people in the Premier League Primary Stars programme Undertake performance reviews on a regular basis, identifying areas of strength and development needs, and implementing strategies to support and develop each person.
• Promote a safe working environment.
• Work with the Schools Partnership Lead to grow the awareness and take up of the Foundation’s Primary Stars offers via effective marketing and engagement.
• Ensure all programme KPI’s are delivered upon, whilst monitoring against progress on a regular basis.
• Ensure teaching mentoring and CPD support is high quality, fit for purpose and meets the requirements of the National Curriculum and Ofsted. Lead on project reporting in line with key stakeholder’s timeline.
• Ensure social action projects are delivered in line with key stakeholder requirements.
• Promote female engagement in physical activity both in school and community time.
• To monitor and evaluate the success of Primary Education offers, in line with the Foundation’s impact reporting framework and the requirements of funders.
• To celebrate success and showcase the impact of our work and achievements of our beneficiaries.
• Work closely with the finance team to monitor budgets, complete finance returns where required, and in line with both our financial policies and procedures and expectations of funding providers.
• To design, develop and coordinate projects to provide appropriate support and solutions to emerging trends.
• Identification, promotion of and sharing of good practice both internally and externally.
• Hold positive relationships with key funding providers, stakeholders and other partners involved in the delivery of and support of our offers.
• To meet all deadlines agreed with line manager and key partners, specifically those that relate to reporting of key performance indicators and other targets where applicable.
• To champion the highest standards for health and safety and safeguarding.
To undertake any relevant training as required by line-manager or in line with expectations of the role.
• To attend and participate in meetings with Foundation staff, funding providers and other meetings as appropriate.

Experience of project management

Experience
Relevant experience of overseeing management, coordination, and delivery of community initiatives.
Proven ability to lead and inspire teams to deliver while driving through continuous improvement.
Experience in working, developing, and managing relevant partnerships in the Education Sector
Experience of working with key stakeholders
Working with children and young people
Experience of managing resource, grant allocation & financial requirements
Experience of setting up and managing a budget
Experience of deployment of staff and volunteers
Proven record of developing and maintaining own performance and accountability to measure and meet KPI’s
Experience in delivering English, Math’s and/or PSHE interventions

Qualifications
Education to Degree Level or equivariant
GB Level qualification or above in any sport
GCSEs in English and Maths
First Aid / Emergency Aid Certificate
Safeguarding Children and Adults Certificate
Suitable to work with children and vulnerable adults, and willing to obtain a DBS Enhanced Disclosure.
Full driving licence and the use of a vehicle
Exhibits a passionate interest in, and commitment to sports development, young people, supporting people into education and or employment.
Demonstrates confidence in working with people from a range of backgrounds
Displays a strong empathy with the values and vision of the organisation
