Join the PhysioFitness team, as we provide the medical service for Bournemouth rugby club. PhysioFitness gives everyone access to the same high standards of treatment an injured elite athlete would receive. The successful candidate will contribute to this, taking on responsibility during training sessions and match days.
The individual we are looking for is reliable, professional, and comfortable within rugby. The position will be an integral part of the Bournemouth rugby team. High levels of communication will be required to work closely with surrounding staff.
This position is managed by the lead therapist, with support and line management from the clinical directors of PhysioFitness.
Support and learning opportunities are available through discussion and regular in-service training to assist and direct development, meeting CPD requirements.
We can offer therapists the opportunity to gain experience in sports injury clinics and performing pitch-side first aid; whilst providing a brilliant source of income. The role will involve Saturday match cover and evening training sessions: Tuesday and Thursday’s.

Responsibilities:
• Injury assessments.
• Planning and delivering rehabilitation.
• Pitch side care.
• Keeping accurate and up to date documentation of care provided.
• Aid in mentoring students.

Essential:
• BSc in Physiotherapy, Sports Therapy, or Rehabilitation.
• Professional registration.
• Qualified to provide pitch side care.

Ideal:
• Experience working within sport, preferably rugby.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Sound clinical reasoning and decision-making skills.
• Motivated to learn and develop.
• Passionate with a positive attitude.
• Eager to progress PHICIS qualifications.

What we offer:
• £50 per training session, £100 per match day.
• Contribution towards CPD.
• Full time involvement within a club.
