Sailability Project Assistant – Hamble- Royal Yachting Association

Job Description
An opportunity has arisen for an organised Project Assistant to join our Sailability team. The purpose of this role is to provide information on and promote RYA Sailability’s programmes and activities through all available media with the objective of encouraging more people with disabilities to participate in boating, and to support the aims and objectives of the RYA Sailability Trust in supporting all fundraising activities and initiatives.

The role holder will be a key point of contact for dealing with all Sailability and RYA Sailability Trust enquiries, and for liaising with Regional Organisers, Disability Development Officers (DDO’s), contractors, corporate sponsors, grant giving trusts and volunteer fundraisers. The role will also assume responsibility for jointly maintaining information on the RYA Sailability website, co-ordinating DDO meetings, Sailability TV feature filming days, assisting in the co-ordination of Fundraising events, boat shows, and fundraising initiatives and researching new equipment for the Equipment & Services Directory.

Candidates should be proficient users of MS Office with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The ability to prioritise workload and manage time effectively is essential and experience of organising events, working with volunteers and voluntary committees and networking is essential.
