Job Description
With the retirement of outgoing Company Secretary, Mr Nicholas Cann, we are appointing a Company Secretary / Minute-taker to support our Board of Trustees. The current size of our Board is seven trustees with representation from Millwall Football Club and independent trustees with a broad range of experience.
Applicants need to be able to make a commitment to MCT and devote the necessary time, be able to administratively support the Board with independent judgement and offer support to the Chair and Vice-Chair of trustees on an ad-hoc basis in between meetings. The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate experience in a similar secretarial / governance role to a board of directors / trustees in a charity or voluntary organisation.
The successful candidates will also be able to demonstrate:
• an impressive track record of success in the private, public or voluntary sector;
• the ability to operate at Board level in and to help grow the public profile of MCT;
• a good understanding of the community sports for development landscape.
• integrity and high ethical standards
• ability to respond in a timely fashion
• strong interpersonal skills.

Please not this is a non-contract position anticipated four days per year plus 2-3 additional days if required.
