THE JOB: Overview
The Senior Accountant is a key part of the International Finance team, working closely with the International Accounting Manager, UK Business Operations Director and the UK Managing Director, this role is made up of three main areas; Journal Management, Statutory filings and AR/AP management. The successful candidate will support the month end close process, including preparing relevant journal entries, performing balance sheet and P&L account reconciliations, and performing account analysis on period over period account fluctuations – overall ensuring the delivery of accurate and timely financial reporting both internally and externally.
It is an integral role to the success and efficiency of UK Business and will be expected to work collaboratively at times with other departments to ensure wider business needs are met.
The Work:
Coordinating accounting functions and programs.
Preparing financial analyses and reports.
Ownership and maintenance of monthly account schedules.
Maintaining and reconciling balance sheet and general ledger accounts.
Assisting with annual audit preparations.
Investigating and resolving audit findings, account discrepancies, and issues of non-compliance.
Preparing UK VAT and local indirect tax filings.
Performing other accounting duties and supporting UK bookkeepers as required or assigned.

The Experience:
Bachelor’s degree from a leading university
Multiple years of experience within accounting management
Experience with international indirect taxes
Experience with international subsidiaries and intercompany transactions in multiple currencies
Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
‘Netsuite’ experience is a plus
Proven ability to work with groups and other organisations to achieve agreed outcomes
Demonstrated success and experience liaising with and managing a range of interested parties
Ability to build credibility, respect and trust with others through depth of understanding and knowledge
Experience of delivering high quality of work in a fast paced environment
