The Boss Design Group is a high end British furniture designer and manufacturer that specialises in corporate and hospitality furniture. We are currently looking for an enthusiastic, self motivated, organised showroom assistant to join our London showroom team in the heart of Clerkenwell.
Permanent Position
Hours: standard 9.00am to 5.30pm, with one hour for lunch, flexibility within this role is important as on occasion you will be required to work additional hours during busy periods and in-line with various showroom events, including Clerkenwell design week.
Salary: TBC – dependant on the individuals experience.
Start Date: ASAP
General duties/key attributes:
a confident person who is a team player
organised and able to juggle multiple tasks, prioritising urgent or important enquiries
meet and greet of customers
ability to approach new clients and talk confidently about our products and our brand
arranging refreshments and lunches
assisting with the general upkeep of the showroom
helping to keep stock of stationary, fabric cards, literature, sample finishes and catering
taking telephone calls from the general public, clients and press – a good phone manner is essential
good admin / IT skills are necessary as you will be required to email, manage the showroom diary and issue quotations using Excel, PowerPoint
taking on visits when account managers or showroom manager, are unavailable
assisting as part of a team with showroom events
there will be a great deal of customer liaison within this role, so the individual needs to be confident on the phone and with face to face customer interaction
Previous showroom/front of house experience would be an advantage.
Interest in design and furniture would be an advantage.
