Location: Lee Valley White Water Centre
Hours: Full Time, 37 Hours per week.
Salary: Band 2 (Coaching) £21,328 – £30,713
This role represents a fantastic opportunity to join British Canoeing as we look to deliver on our 2021 ambitions and implement our strategy for future success in the Paris cycle beyond to L.A. British Canoeing looks to take an athlete centred approach with everything we do and places high value on coaching, values and teamwork in developing athlete performance.
The role will operate within the British Canoeing Athlete Pathway Framework, supporting the development of a regional infrastructure for talented paddlers throughout England. They will play an important role in delivering a stronger talent pool with an increase in numbers and depth of talent, enabling every athlete to fulfil their potential and establish a sporting habit for life.
The primary remit of the Regional Pathway coach will be to support the England Slalom Talent Programme in the Southern region, providing coaching delivery to identified England Talent Programme athletes and their club coaches.
They will provide a key link between British Canoeing and the clubs in the Region, therefore successful candidates will need to demonstrate an understanding of the skills required by a Coach operating at Slalom Performance Coach Award level, as well as experience of operating in a club environment with young people and volunteers.
