Jane Tomlinson’s Run For All is one of the UK’s biggest not-for-profit sports event companies, staging events including the Asda FoundationLeeds 10K and York 10K, Leeds Half Marathon and ThePlusnet Yorkshire Marathon.
Run For All is now looking for an experienced and creative Sponsor and Corporate Assistant, with a genuine passion for sport and events, to join its expanding Leeds-based team.
As Sponsorship and Corporate Assistant you will assist the Sponsor and Corporate Manager with sponsor activation and fulfilment of sponsor and partner entitlements.
The successful candidate will also be responsible for elements of Run For All’s Corporate offering – including the Leeds 10K, Hull 10K Corporate Challenge events and the Yorkshire Marathon Corporate Relay – managing the programme of events from generating entries to corporate networking events.
The role will require a confident phone manner as you will be asked to call companies to sell corporate event packages to both new and existing partners.
The successful applicant will also have strong inter-personal skills, inspire trust and be a convincing communicator, able to represent Run For All in front of a wide range of audiences, including at sports industry and business events.
You will also be required to carry out and manage a number of corporate and sponsors administrative tasks on a daily basis in order to support both your Manager and Corporate team managers entering the events.

Relationships: Internal: Sponsor and Corporate Manager, PR and Marketing Manager, Marketing Executive, Marketing Assistant, CEO, Events Manager, Charity/Legacy Manager, Events Team.
External: Sponsors, partners, Corporate teams, key stakeholders, creative agency, general public, business, suppliers and contractors
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will perform a wide range of duties, including but not limited to:
-Providing general administrative support to the Sponsor and Corporate Manager
-Day to day management of corporate challenge entrants from sales t to event day
-Supporting the Sponsor and Corporate Manager to ensure sponsor contracts are fulfilled
and opportunities are maximised for both parties
-Attend meetings, where necessary, with sponsors and potential partners
-Generate entries into the Corporate Challenge event offering
-Assist the Sponsorship and Corporate Manager in devising strategy and reporting on results annually
-Devise and deliver Corporate Challenge events, including networking and social evenings with the support of the Sponsor and Corporate Manager
-Assist in raising the profile of the Run For All brand within the corporate and commercial sector
-Assist the Sponsor and Corporate Manager with research, target and delivery of new sponsor and partner relationships, nationally and local
-Where appropriate liaise with sponsors on day to day issues surrounding sponsorship activity
-Develop a good understanding of the marketplace and issues relating to clients/sector
-Acting as support (as required) to the Sponsor and Corporate Manager including diary management, managing and responding to a diverse range of e-mails, telephone calls and varied marketing and sponsorship enquiries
Person specification
Essential
-Marketing degree or similar qualification or relevant experience either within a marketing agency or in-house department
-Good knowledge of Microsoft packages –Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
-Excellent administration and organisation skills
-Excellent written and verbal communications skills
-Creative approach to problem solving
-Strong project management and time management skills
-Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with corporate teams and sponsors
-Attention to detail
-Presentation skills
-Ability to juggle a number of tasks at once and to consistently deliver high-quality work to tight deadlines
Salary and benefits
The salary for this post is £18,000- £24K per annum, dependent on experience, plus contribution towards a personal pension following completion of a successful probationary period. Holiday entitlement is 25 days per year excluding public holidays.
Normal working hours are Monday to Friday. Additional evening and weekend work will be required, particularly in the run up to and during the event season.
Applicants must have a full driving licence and access to a vehicle as the role can demand travel across Yorkshire, Lancashire and the East Midlands.
